REACH

Outreach Mindset

If we want to reach people in our community the reality is that that for most, church is not on their radar. We believe in and serve a God comes to where we are to reach us and we must do the same.  This mindset has led us to find creative ways to bring the love and Truth of God to where people are at in our community.

"Stoke Out" and
"Hope Feeds"

Stoke Out is an annual event that takes place in multiple local schools where we raise money to give new Vans shoes and Santa Cruz hoodies to local kids. "Hope Feeds" is our Food Pantry in Soquel that provides free groceries to local families in need.  These are just two ways that we can reach out to our neighbors by meeting practical needs!

Paddle Out

In Santa Cruz, when a surfer dies, we paddle out to honor them in the Hawaiian tradition. On Good Friday (the Friday before Easter), we gather on the beach and paddle out with a number of other local churches. This has been a very unifying outreach in our community. We hope you'll join us on the beach or in the water!

Kids Camp

Kids Camp is a week-long, local summer camp for kids entering 1st-5th grade. Its purpose is to create a place for kids (and volunteers) to experience who God is and learn about His character and love for them. The days are filled with songs, skits, games, crafts, and much more all with the goal of pointing back to God, His goodness, and that life with Him is full of freedom and fun!

RESTORE

Transforming lives

God loves us "As-is." And He invites us to more. In fact, His love and presence in our lives transforms us to be become who He created us to be. We are a community changed by Jesus who believe that He is still healing and restoring lives! This happens as we listen and apply His Words, learn to Love Him and live in community with other followers of Jesus. We want to invite you to experience the life-changing power of Jesus in gatherings and groups that happen weekly throughout Santa Cruz County.

Groups

Acts 20:20 says they met publicly and from house to house. In addition to our Sunday services, we put a big emphasis on groups, because growth and connection happens more in circles than it does in rows. Join a group today!

Worship Nights

We are a community who desires to be led and moved by the Wind of God's Spirit! Worship Nights are a time we gather as a church family to worship and pray for one another believing that the Lord is going to meet us to restore lives in powerful ways!

Restoring Leaders

One thing that is unique about our church is that you'll often meet visiting pastors from the US and abroad. It's a passion of ours to be a place for leaders to be restored through rest, healing, encouragement and prayer.

RELEASE

Building up to send out.

We serve a sending God. All through Scripture, we see this theme that climaxes in the ultimate rescue mission. God sent His Son Jesus to us and sends us out to "...go and make disciples of all nations..." We find our ultimate purpose when we join God in His rescue mission to reach, restore and release others. And we want to be a church that is willing to invest in people so they can be released to their God-given purpose.

Apprenticeship

Our Apprenticeship Program is designed to equip those who are pursuing church leadership roles. Whether you are just starting out or having been serving/leading already, this is a place you can come to receive input and training to help transform your life and the lives of those around you. The program is structured around Heart, Head, Hands. Throughout the program, apprentices will work closely with church staff and the pastoral team to develop their character, strengthen their theology and understanding of the bible, and learn practical skills for participating in church leadership roles. At the completion of the program, our hope is to send out the apprentices out to take on leadership roles in an existing church or be part of a church planting team.

Church Plants

Because we started as a church plant it's part of our DNA. And new churches are the most effective way to fulfill Jesus' great commission. Our vision is to help launch new transformational communities that help people find and follow Jesus locally and globally. Check out the links below to see some of the churches that we've recently planted.

Global Partnerships

Our value of partnership runs deep and extends beyond borders. Rather than a "mission" where we travel to minister for a week or two, our desire is to cultivate ongoing relationships churches and leaders in other countries around the world. We are grateful to link arms with  pastors and churches in Switzerland, UK, Poland, El Salvador, Columbia, Peru and Costa Rica!
