Week 3: Anchored in the Spirit
Day 15 — Talking to God

Scripture Reading:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭62‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Devotional Thought
Prayer is simple. It’s just talking to God—honestly, openly, and without pretense. You don’t need fancy words or a perfect formula. God isn’t impressed by long speeches—He just wants you: your real thoughts, your real feelings, your real questions.

Philippians 4 says we can bring everything to God—worries, hopes, fears, and dreams. Nothing is too small or messy. When you do, He doesn’t always remove the problem, but His presence brings peace to your heart.

Jesus said we don’t need to babble or perform. God already knows what we need before we even speak. Prayer isn’t a report—it’s a conversation.

Psalm 62 encourages us to pour out our hearts. That means no pretending, no acting spiritual, just being real. God listens. God cares. God responds.

Take a moment today. Slow down. Talk to God like you’d talk to someone who loves you deeply—because He does.

Practice for Today
Spend five minutes talking to God about what’s on your mind.

No script. No pressure. Just honesty.
