Week 1: Anchored in Jesus
(Hope, Salvation & Identity)
Day 7 — Reflection & Sharing

Scripture Reading:
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Devotional Thought
This first week has been about one central truth: life with Jesus changes everything.

You’ve explored who Jesus is, what He has done for you, and what it means to belong to Him. You’ve been reminded that salvation is not something you earn—it’s a gift. You’ve seen that in Christ, you are made new, forgiven, and welcomed into God’s family.

Today isn’t about learning something new as much as it is about slowing down and noticing what God has already been doing in you.

Jesus uses the image of a vine and branches to describe our relationship with Him. Life doesn’t come from trying harder or doing more—it flows from staying connected. Growth happens not by striving, but by remaining. When you stay close to Jesus, His life begins to shape yours naturally and steadily.

This is what spiritual growth looks like: not perfection, but connection. Not striving, but abiding. As you reflect on this past week, pay attention to what stirred your heart, what challenged you, and where you sensed God inviting you deeper.

He has begun a good work in you—and He is faithful to finish it.
